"Chikahagi Kuu House" is a lovingly restored 185-year-old farmhouse in Ichikawamisato Town, Yamanashi Prefecture. Surrounded by nature, it offers a peaceful escape and an authentic taste of rural Japanese life.
Guests can enjoy seasonal meals, take leisurely walks to nearby farms with the owner, and even harvest fresh vegetables to cook together for dinner.
A popular optional activity is the udon-making experience with the grandmother — the heart of the home, who also designed and decorated the house herself. This hands-on experience offers a heartwarming connection to traditional Japanese home cooking and family life.
Kuu House also thoughtfully accommodates special diets — including vegan, low-carb, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly meals — all tailored with care.
As an optional add-on, the owner offers a private tour by car explore the surrounding area, from Ichikawamisato through the terraced rice fields of Minami-Alps City to Hokuto City - a peaceful area that has become something of a creative hideaway, beloved by artists and those seeking a tranquil second home, just a few hours from Tokyo.
